Soup Love

Making and eating soup is one of my favourite things to do in the kitchen. And you don't really need a recipe to make a great tasting pot of soup ... just some idea of proportions of broth/stock, starch (pasta or noodles, potatoes, beans, rice), proteins (meat, egg, tofu) and veggies. I've made a very similar version using leftover ham chunks cut from the bone and this is just as good so I know you'll enjoy it.

The ban soup looks so homely and warming... Reminds me of my mum's soup (which is a bit different of course and includes smoked ribs I have never been able to find here...). The tomato soup looks wonderful too. Sissi (http://www.withaglass.com)

Thank you for the nice comment. Smoked ribs ... I remember my mom using THOSE too. I should look for them the next time I go shopping. They must still be available nearby.
