You're brave. Fudge is something I've steered clear of.

Thank you though it's not bravery just jumping in without thinking things through completely sometimes.

I think there's a saying about that...

Probably but I'm too exhausted from shovelling the stinking snow yet AGAIN to get my brain cells working. Drinking cup of coffee number two and thinking about what to have for my first meal of the day ... this happens when you don't get up til 12:30 pm.

Very exotic! I must say I have never been a fan of Indian (in general Asian) sweets, but this fudge looks really cute. I'd love to taste it, at least out of curiosity! Sissi (http://www.withaglass.com)

The fudge isn't overly sweet but does satisfy your sweet tooth. Nothing too exotic among the ingredients if you can get your hands on some chickpea flour ... which is a great flour to use for various vegetable fritters.

That looks very good... it's not the same thing as Indian halwa then I presume? I know next to nothing about Indian sweets, although I do know that I prefer them to Chinese sweets which seem to consist of concoctions of very alien fruits and massive quantities of red bean paste!

I don't really know the fine differences between halwa/halva (Arabic for sweet) and barfi/burfi but wikipedia says that there are two basic kinds of halva ( ... )
