The classic poutine is a calorie laden dish featuring piping hot, freshly-made, french fries, sprinkled with a bit of salt with cheese curds scattered through and topped with a hot gravy designed to melt the curds.

Speaking of pulled pork, I keep intending to make it one of these days. However I am not even close to having emptied out my freezer and, as the nephew also noted, there is way too much frost on the walls to make the freezer function efficiently. Perhaps, if it's really cold on the weekend, I can put everything in the freezer outside for a few hours around 9pm or so to keep cold while I do a quick thaw.

Yep, you can really take a calorie hit when having poutine. As Eva mentioned earlier, there are a number of variations that take it even further over the top ... like pulled pork.
