I've always been curious to taste this sweet, milky confection but haven't found it locally, so I thought I'd try to make it myself.

I'm going to read your stove-top post in a minute, but I'd never thought of making it in the microwave. I have to say it looks quite different from the stove-top version... well, at least the one I make - I'd be really interested in tasting it to see what it's like because the consistency seems almost like a dough.

I should have poured it onto parchment paper, put another sheet on top and then rolled it about 3/4-1" thick and cut it into rectangles because when it cooled it had the consistency of caramels. I overcooked it by at least 4 minutes, maybe more.
