Christmas cards

I'd like to send out Christmas cards to anyone who'd like one this year - but i'm not exactly sure how to go about this. Do you send actual X-mas cards? Those store-brought things seem a bit impersonal. Do you send out something that's bit more specific for the country you live in? How does this work?

I personally send out the store bought ones with a personal message in them. I search the stores for ones I really like, not just the first one I see. And I try and get ones that aren't Christmas specific, so as not to insult anyone I send one with the wrong holiday. Besides, I'm not exactly christian myself, but I'm not as easily pissed off about it. *shrugs*

Some people hand-make cards or send small gifts like tea or hand-made sweets. Or do something fannish like write a drabble or make an icon or something.

I personally just enjoy the fact that someone took the time to send me something, regardless of what it is.

Yeah, that might work. Just wondering - how many requests for cards did you get?

So far only a couple, but I expect to get 2 dozen or so overall, probably. Actually maybe more because I picked up a whole bunch of new friends this year through sgl. *grins*

Personally? I find store bought ones that have a multi-holiday message (like 'happy holidays' or 'have a lovely holiday' or something therein) as if I tried to do handmade ones? It would be roughly 2023 before I got finished.

Also I seem to have a trend going in my holiday cards as I realized that last year I got penguins and this year i got another penguin card as well. :S

HAHA. Yes. I'd like to do handmade ones but they'd suck and it would definitely be way past X-mas before I get them.

Considering that drunk monkeys are more artistic than I am? Yeah...mine would suck. Though the ones I photoshopped a couple years back weren't bad, I just don't have photoshop on my laptop currently (haven't shelled out the $$$ for a 64 bit version).

Yeah, I will. I've just been feeling guilty about asking people to send me stuff without offering to do so myself.
