Yes, the kribensis had another hatch o' fry. And I still have one little girl from January who escaped the net when I took everyone else to the fishstore.
Actually, very, very possibly. I have two tanks I've got running without any fish to get them stabilized, and they're probably good to go.
I think they'll work well in the 35 gallon hex. I'll need to get some more plants and a couple of shells for it, looks like from a quick perusal of fish sites. I've never done cichlids before.
Right now the babies are teeeeeny tiny. When they start free swimming away from mum and dad, I'll be happy to bag you up a few of them (including the sweet little girl who is about a 1/2" big).
I'm trying to remember how long it takes them to get to that stage. Maybe by Thanksgiving?
Heck, I also have two gold danios and a leopard danio I'll happily donate as well. The danios are perfect fish to cycle a tank with, and I'll bag them up along with the young girl krib sooner, and then if you still want babies later, we can do that too. :)
I think I can probably get the older fish to you this weekend, if you want. They're all healthy. They're just the stragglers from other batches of fish.
I can take the danios, but they'd be going in a different tank, and there's no one in the tank I want to put the Kribs in. One of the websites said that kribs get weird if they're alone, so I don't want to stress her like that.
