Just popping in to say hi and let you all know I'm still alive and kicking. Well, not so much with the kicking, that takes too much energy, but definitely still alive ( Read more... )

Wonderful to seeing you posting again, you've been missed. Hugs. Sorry to hear about your health problems. Sadly, I've been dealing with something similar, but not as bad. I hope you will spend more time here, virtual social life?

I'm sorry you're having health issues as well. I guess I'm playing with the idea of the virtual social life, seeing how it works for me at the current stage of things.

Buzzy!!!!!

Wow, has it really been that long? It has been too long since we chatted - either about HP or life in general. I want you to know how much your encouragement with writing, especially HP, has meant to me. I haven't been very alive in any fandom in a while, but I remember our collective time HP very fondly.

I am so sorry to hear things aren't going well for you. I'm not sure that there's much else I can say except to sympathize and commiserate - energy and health issues are no fun. It sounds like the kidlets are doing well which is good news.

If you want someone to vent to I wanted to offer a listening ear - sometimes just getting your frustrations out can go a long way towards making you feel better. Message me if you feel like chatting sometime.

Thanks for the offer, so sweet of you! It has been a very long time. I actually find venting counterproductive - the more I talk about my issues, the more depressed I get. I'm best off when I focus on what I can do, rather than what I can't. And of course fic is in the "can't" category.

The kidlets are doing great, which is the big joy of my life at the moment. (Except when they're doing the tween/teen thing, and then I send them to their rooms without their electronics until they get over it.)

Sympathy is always welcome.

It is WONDERFUL to hear from you! I'm sorry your health has deteriorated so much, but hearing that your kids are doing so well is a very cheering thing.

As for company... I do hope you'll be around on LJ now and again!

Yeah, I pretty much focus on the kids and that keeps me (mostly) cheerful. How are you and yours?

We'll see about LJ, this is sort of an experiment.

I'm very glad to see a post from you! Lots of sympathy on health issues. I know when I've dealt with not having the energy I'm used to having, it's been very frustrating. I hope your body listens up and starts working more smoothly. I understand about challenging children - I've got a 17 y/o son who's not going to head for college, yet doesn't have a plan for what he WILL do, either. He's got a good heart, so I just trust that it'll all work out. My 15 y/o daughter is playing volleyball as well, which is awesome, but as you said - SO BUSY.

Peace be with you, Buzzy.

Thanks for the sympathy, it's always appreciated.

Despite having taught at universities for most of the last 20 years, I'm a firm believer that there are lots of other paths to a full and satisfying life. I'm sure your boy will find his in his own time.
