When I started posting my P&P fic, I figured any of my LJ flist who wanted to read it could go to the archives where I'm posting. Since then, I've quit the main archive I was using and discovered that another doesn't cope well with guest readers. So I've rethought that approach and decided to post it here as well as there. Posts will come pretty

Everything up to now was in draft form before I started posting, so you can be sure that it was always the plan for Eleanor to start out tough and then ease up. I doubt she was surprised in the least by Caroline's little plot and took it in her stride.
The story actually started out when I was having trouble with someone at work I couldn't tell off, so I vented in fic. The early scenes with Eleanor and Caroline and that scene with Fitzwilliam and Wickham were the first things I wrote. The characters developed from there and the story built up around them.
I don't like giving things away, but it isn't telling much to let you know that Georgiana will indeed be visiting the Fitzwilliam family, so we'll get to see Darcy play big brother under Eleanor's critical eye - if she dares to turn that eye on him!

I hope that someone at work has been taken care of.

*giggle* No worries. If anyone minds, they haven't said anything.
As for the "someone at work", he decided to try to undermine me, and he's much higher ranked than me, so I looked like a problem briefly. Until he managed to piss everyone else off. Literally everyone. The moment when I looked like a problem happened to be (not a coincidence, I suspect) when I was being reviewed, so it stung more than it would have any other time, but by now he's widely reviled and no one takes his opinions seriously, not to mention that I've moved from full-time to part-time work. So it's not so much that he was taken care of as that a) he ceased to be relevant to my life or work, and b) he hung himself and I enjoyed watching. Lately he's taken to trying to pretend we're buddies, which I find highly entertaining.
