Hey sweetie. What's up with the MWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWMWM lines? Please tell me that's a typo.

No, that's breaks between sections. There's probably an easier way to do it, but what do I know?

Uh huh, I knew it was. *g* I usually use the ~~~~~~ symbols, it's less confusing.

I was only asking because I'd rather link the Herald to your lj instead of octaves, that way it's easier for others to leave feedback if they're moved to.

ps-I hope I didn't offend you. And please, feel free to delete these comments-I've been up awhile and probably should have emailed you, LOL. *facepalm*

Also? I loved it!

you'll have to try a lot harder to offend me, kiddo. **g**

And yes, please link here. I agree, easier for me to get comments.

And I'm so glad you liked it! I knew my various pregnancies would prove useful some day!

Aw, that was adorable--but without being saccharine. You did a great job with the way the characters interacted; I love the Cordelia-Wesley snarkiness. I have to say my favorite part was the scene where Buffy tells Angel she's gotten engaged. You did a great job of showing a very understated and yet powerful emotion there.

I am so happy you liked the Cordy-Wes interactions. I was concerned about that since I don't write them a lot.

And I'm glad the engagement scene worked. I always find less is more with those two. They're not exactly specch makers.

Do my eyes deceive me, or did you just write B/A babyfic?

To say I was shocked when I realized what this was about is an understatement. Not that I'm complaining mind you. You take a sub-genre that's traditionally been the subject of many an atrocious fanfic and make it palatable for even the most discerning reader. I'm not one of those, since babyfic is a bit of a kink for me, but even I can't take it when they're badly written.

So I loved it. Your characterization is always outstanding, you write terrific quips (I especially loved the string that Buffy let out to that vampire), and the restrained emotion between both Buffy and Angel really leaped off the screen. The diner scene where Buffy tells Angel that she's getting married had me a bit choked up. And I of course adored the ending. I knew we were in for something special from you this marathon and I was not disappointed.

I'm even more shocked than you that I wrote it. Hee.

A few months ago, the first four scenes leaped into my brain and the only way I could go back to writing what I needed to write was to purge it out. And then I realized I knew the next scene. And the next.

I actually know what happens next, if I ever write it. Let's just say this is the calm before the very ugly storm.

There's just about no B/A babyfic that makes sense to me. I mean this is Angel we're talking about. He's not going to believe that kid is his. Plus, they always gloss over the reality of being pregnant. And what's the fun in that?

That or you get a shopping list of symptom that's cut paste from wikipedia. (Mind you Smallville did that too)

If pregnant women fainted as often as they do in babyfic -you'd have people lying around all over the place.

I never knew anybody who fainted because they were pregnant.

But desperately needing to pee - oh, man, a hallmark of pregnancy.

Wonderful! I really liked the maturity in the relationship between Angel and Buffy. And Buffy knowing when Angel is beating himself up in his head.

It's nice to see that even Buffy isn't going to breeze through labor without thinking it hurt.

Your Cordy voice was great too. She always sees a lot more than people give her credit for.

I figure even the slayer is going to find labor exhausting. Because it is.

And Buffy's a big girl. Just because angel likes to guilt himself about everything that's ever happened doesn't mean it's true.

I am so glad you liked this. And I'm really pleased my Cordy voice worked. It's really hard to get that combination of snark, straight forwardness and sense of entitlement she had.

Oh, I like this a lot. It's cute without being over the top and without glossing any of their angst or issues. There aren't very many people I would read babyfic for, but I love how you made it work here.

I was pretty surprised I was writing baby fic. But I'm rather pleased with how it turned out and I'm really happy it worked for you.

It just goes to show - there are no bad fic ideas just bad fic writers!
