good point, even more so if taken sam's seven-ish years or so in account that he seemed to stay after he jumped. or did he just have something else to work through?

maybe me is wrong, but i think that the time between 3x02/08 ... were her last seconds. nah, would also not make sense, coz when she was buried ... *scratches head* or time moved for both in a different speed, yet the one in the real world stayed as it was.

I don't think so, and I'll explain why. If you watch the scene again where Alex realizes that she's dead, you hear a very distinct sound a flatline. I think everything from when she woke up (9:06) on is her last few seconds of life.

Aww, it's so sad! Thanks for explaining - I shall have to watch it again and listen out for the flatlining!

i'm going with animagiblender here. her time in 1983 = her final seconds on earth in 2008. once she enters the railway arms, she's dead in the real world. (similar for all the others.)

i'm also going to note that, in 3x01, keats notes his watch stopped at 9:06 exactly. only alex doesn't know the significance of this, and wouldn't find out until she's outside the arms.

if you remember the coffin vision, the weathervane -- the same one that's atop the farmhouse in which gene was shot/murdered -- is superimposed on it. toward the end of her vision, she realizes she is being buried alive. i think this had more to do with the ghost of dead PC gene hunt than alex's own death.

Oh, I see! That makes a lot of sense - thank you! :)
