This episode has one of my Favorite A2A moments where Alex smacks Gene straight on the chin

Ray makes me giggle stupidly in this episode - he's got some great moments, what with burning his lip on 'that bastard breville,' various Alex-targetted one liners and being cute to the poor prostitute.

Ah, this episode gave us so many fun little bits: garden gnomes, the oft-iconized punch, the fancy-dress party, Ray treating a prostitute like a human being. Say what you will about the changes in Gene's character v. Life on Mars, the Ray and Chris characters are far more fleshed-out in this series. (And Deano says things get even better this year, especially for Chris.)
