There have been a few people wondering when it would be appropriate to start using spoilery icons on this comm. And frankly, I don't know, because I devour spoilers and anyway, and have seen the last episode

I would say a month. Personnally, I won't be able to see the last episode of A2A before a while because I'm waiting for the french subtitles and they always take a while to come out. The subtitles for the seventh episode aren't out yet either but I would hate to be spoiled by such a little thing like an icon.

Thank you for that - that's exactly the sort of information I don't know. And a month isn't unreasonable, I don't think - I mean, people can still post behind spoiler cuts and use other icons.

Eh, I figure there's no way to guarantee that someone won't post spoilery stuff without a cut. I figured the only way to be safe was to leave the community and wait until after I caught up before looking at it.

Oh, this is no guarantee - but it would be nice when people knew they could blithely post away outside of cuts/with massive spoilerific icons spread around and not have to live with the guilt of having messed it all up for someone else.

As you say, the only guarantee is to avoid everywhere spoilery until you've seen everything. But I think since ep8 we've been pretty good!

If you wanted to be pedantic you could wait till another country shows it, but I did a quick google search to see if I could find out if it has been picked up for Australia and it hasn't so I wouldn't worry about that. You'd be safe saying in the comm profile 'this community will have spoilers and spoiler icons of season one'.
It is easy with movies as usually the rule of thumb is one month after the DVD is released in most countries. Hope these ideas help.
