Summary: Mmmh... Fuji's having a bad day?
Warnings: none, I guess…
Disclaimer: PoT belongs to Konomi-sensei, who had ingeniously made Tezuka and Fuji for each other. *nods*
A/N: I’m supposed to work on my
christmas_cacti fic but I made this instead. Lol. As Rei-san (
lafuego) would put it, I’m such a pressure junkie and I am no longer in denial. Hahah…
Fuji Shuusuke was known for his habit to keep a friendly, smiling façade almost anytime, anywhere. There were these days, however, when he felt like smiling was no more then a duty. Today was one of those days, and Tezuka was one of the very few people to notice that the smile on the prodigy’s face was somewhat strained.
It was, according to Inui’s casual comment based on his data, 89.9 percent chance it had anything to do with Yuuta, 15.7 percent chance of he got a pressure of being a prodigy and the remaining chances are other possibilities.
Tezuka was never one to pry-and even if he were to ask, he’d probably got the exactly same answer as Kikumaru: a smile, and nothing else-so he didn’t bother to. It was somehow bothering him though, to see one of his closest friends looked like he had left his soul somewhere and forgot to take it back with him.
He wanted to do something for his friend, probably to cheer him up a little, but Tezuka was not one to give such comforts, simply because he didn’t know how to. So he did the only thing he could. He approached Fuji after practice, and patted his lithe left shoulder twice and said nothing.
Fuii blinked at him, eyes fluttering open to peek on Tezuka’s russet orbs. Tezuka simply stared back, making sure the unspoken comfort he couldn’t find the words to say got across to the other boy.
Then, a genuine smile was making its way on the beautiful features of the prodigy’s face, and Fuji patted Tezuka’s shoulder in return. An unsaid ‘thank you’ hung in the air.
And they both smiled.

A/N: I FAIL at ending lines *shoots self* anyway, I hope you all could enjoy this little token of gratitude from me, ne *hugs everyone*
