"Cadet Matrix reporting, sir."
"At ease, cadet." No need to make this any more tense than it is already.
"Thank you, sir. Your message said you'd returned a decision?"
The Prime Guardian nods. "The Guardian Collective will be informed of your... discoveries regarding the nature of Users. As much pertinent information as possible. At the very least, it's likely to be a strategic factor in the Games."
"Yessir." Enzo has found as much himself; the knowledge that your opponent doesn't even know you're sentient definitely colours the experience.
"For the present, this information will be considered need-to-know as far as non-Guardians are concerned, otherwise we'll be up to our ASCIIs in panicky civilians, and you can quote me on that."
Enzo grins. "Yessir."
"You can even quote me during your presentation, if you like."
The grin vanishes. "...sir?"
"To the Academy. You will download this information to them personally. Your presentation will be also broadcast to the rest of the Guardians."
"I-I have to give a speech? To the whole Collective? All at once?"
"Would you rather one at a time?" Turbo says dryly.
"No, but..." Sigh. "No, sir."
"You will also compile your findings in as organized a README as possible, for distribution."
Enzo doesn't even reply to this, for fear that his mental litany of crash, spam, frag, crash, spam, frag will find its way out of his mouth.
"Don't worry, your family can help you with that part. And from what you've told me, you'll have all the extra time you need to work on it."
Fraaaaaaag.
