Project Landscape Trailer - Completed for sure this time!

Aug 31, 2013 22:24

I thought it was completed HERE And It looked like this:

But it wasn't.  You see the board... I got it to fit without ripping the board.  I used a Persuader (hammer) to get it to fit and parked it under the deck.  I tested the lights... kinda.  They were good enough at the time because mine were all jacked up on the jeep.  So I let it go.  Until a couple months ago.  I happened to be in Tractor Supply and decided I should pick up new lights.  Aaaaand they sat on my workbench for a couple of weeks until I thought I may need to use the trailer.  I went to the deck to get the trailer and it was full of water like a redneck swimming pool.  I dumped it out and realized that all the wood had swelled and popped the boards up again.  Once in the garage, I Replaced the lights then Tested them.  WOW... they finally work now.  Next problem was the black duct tape on the edges of the boards was lifting and needed something better in it's place.  I bought two 8 foot sections of aluminum channel.  And those sat for another month or so.  I've been waiting for the wood to dry out.  But I just can't sit around and wait for wood to dry.  I need to get this Trailer done and out of the garage.  And Tonight I got it done!

I got the boards back into place,,, Yes I used the persuader.  And I installed the channel.  Then I spray painted the parts that were damaged in the process:

All I can say at this point is... Phew!  I'm glad that's done!

2 Projects completed!   2 to go!
