[So, if you can recognize his face at all, you'll see (or probably just hear!) Sam talking. He sounds plenty confused, as well as an expression to match if you can see it written all over his face. He'll probably be sporting that look for quite some time.]

So, these experiments... We don't know what they'll be until the week is up, right? Like a ( Read more... )

Generally, we're left to discover each Sunday what the experiment will be. It tends to be fairly easy to figure out once it happens, of course.

Have we met? It seems that this week's little gem is being unable to recognize people we know. Mohinder Suresh, in any case.

That's good to know, I think. I mean, it makes me feel a little better knowing it's not just me having problems here.

[He's still new and being 'broken in' to the experiments, basically.]

Sam Winchester. I guess this whole 'recognizing' thing doesn't matter much if we don't know the person originally?

Sam. No, we've never met. Though I suppose if we bump into each other in the hallway tomorrow, you won't recognize me. These experiments are taxing.

Well, that's frustrating. I'm not sure whether I should be thankful or worried that these things change by the week.

Honestly? [His soft British-twinged accent doesn't make the news any more pleasant.] Worried.

With a buildup like that, you make it sound like it gets worse.

Mmm. Worse? Not always. Sometimes, yes of course, it's terrible. People die. Sometimes they do worse than die. Sometimes we get cake. It depends on the programming.

Sounds it's not always bad? That's... a relief, I guess.

[Ah yes. Cake or death. What a choice.]

So American then, are you?

[At least he looks to be about the same time period as he is.]

Yeah, born and raised.

[Not specifically in one spot, but it was all in America!]

You too?

Me?

[Most people assume he's British, given the accent. Perhaps he's spent too much time in America. His accent has softened out.]

Indian actually. I studied in England. But yes, I've been living in America for a few months doing research. Well. Had been.

[Well, he wasn't sure, and he certainly didn't want to make any wild guesses as to where Mohinder was from.]

So you were quite a traveler. That's pretty impressive.

Actually, most people tend to call me 'mad.' I'll take the 'impressive' though.

Well, I can sort of relate with the whole travelling thing. My brother and I used to kind of road-trip back home. I understand what kind of mindset it takes to just get up and go.

[Now he laughs. He's learned to laugh at himself.]

Did you leave your career behind at a prestigious university to avenge your father and continue his work as well.

[Hum.]

Not entirely. I was raised into the family business, tried to escape it and go to college, only to be pulled back into the business anyway, though.
