[She suddenly gasps and grunts a bit, before abruptly cutting the feed.]

[Fuji almost says something, but she quickly clutches both of her shoulders, the pain of her newly released wings still throbbing.

They are also nearly black with white speckles all over]

[ he seems to lose interest in the conversation, because his feed cuts.

but only a few minutes later, he shows up in her doorway, sans knocking and black wings of his own folded behind him... he's gotten them cleaned and feathers now arranged neatly ]

['Good riddance', is what she thought...until she goes over to open the door in an effort to get out and have some fresh air.]

Besides, what are you concerned about, anyway? It's not as if anything bad will happen to my wings!

Because they'll continue to be painful if they're not cleaned and set properly. Each of those pinion feathers have a nerve ending.

[ he regards her in silence for a moment before continuing ]

Didn't you tell me to do the exact same thing when mine came out?

[For a moment, she is rendered speechless, being dumbfounded by the little piece of knowledge he possessed, before she clears her throat and glances down slightly.]

Sort of...just not in that way.

[There's a bit of hesitance.]

[ only at that point does he enter, though he could've easily just pushed her back through the door. he heads for the bathroom to get some towels and water, speaking over his shoulder as he goes ]

Take off your shirt and get a chair to sit on.

[Though she doesn't say anything, she does give him a brow raise before taking it off and going over to sit on a chair, whilst putting her arms across her breasts just as a precaution.]

[ He comes back with a pail of warm soapy water and starts washing off the blood, starting from the top and working his way down the limbs so that each layer of feathers doesn't get dirty water put back on them. He doesn't say a word through the whole washing process and when he's finished, he sits down on the floor so that he's at level with the bottom of her new wings and begins slipping his fingers in and out of the feathers, straightening them one by one. ]

[There's a slight blush coming across her face, her whole nerves feeling his every touch, even as she stays perfectly still.]

...hey. Just how do you know so much on cleaning them?
