Ugh... [The feed comes on and it's the sight of a hall--the camera and its owner are moving, and the voice is likely familiar to some considering who he talks to, so on and forth. It looks like the 'berry is on the desk from the distance and such and now it is clear that Jonathon is hanging from the ceiling, one hand to his side with razor wire.

Could be worse--I could wake up dead.

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't wake up if you were dead, Jonathon. I could be wrong though. You never know with this place.

I wake up as a ghost? Something like that. [He pauses, fixes his grip as best as he can. A look back to the screen and he makes a motion to the side.] Kate-- would you mind..?

Well, I guess being a ghost would be interesting. At least a little. [She blinks at the request, not sure what he means. Just as quickly though she's frowning and she looks away from the screen] Right. Sorry.

It's only in and across from there. The sounds suck, that's what he can say but he's twisting around, trying to make the process scarce. Letting go of his shirt for a moment, there's a small wince, groan.] Hey Kate, you heard the last part of of that voice, yeah?
[The part about the bomb. In his chest.]

The part about the bomb? [Still looking away from the screen] Yeah...I heard. [It's so hard to just sit back and talk to him like this when all she wants to do is go to help him. But she can't, obviously, because that would just make everything worse]

I know its probably a lot to ask, but would you mind keeping me company during the wait? [He's determined to make it through this trap. Dying doesn't sound so great, after all.]

Yeah, I can do that. Whatever you need to get you through this thing, I'll do it.

Thanks. Now, lemme just... [In this part? There could go a vivid description or how Jonathon reaches into the cut he's made in himself to get the key but instead, the lazy mun will now pretend that he has retrieved it. Reaching up as best as he can, he works to fit the key into the lock that's suspending him from the ceiling.
That loud thump on the floor? It's Jonathon getting out of the trap.] Ow... --K-Kate, you still there?

Same. Now the waiting game, yeah? [He struggles to get up, wrestling with the barbed wire.]

Yeah, that'll be fun. I'll be here for all of it though so that's something, right?
Reply
I'll still be here, even if you took a break.

I-- Thanks, Kate. [Once he's got the sheets off the bed, he's wrapping them around his midsection, applying pressure before he falls against the wall.] Haah, I look like a mess, huh?
