[He's walking through the halls again, holding onto a bottled water. He had been thirsty lately, strangely thirsty but it was likely a side effect from the anxiety he had been experiencing. It didn't matter though, his breaths were calm for a moment before he turns the corner of a small hallway and see's a younger girl, pink hair--fiddling with the berry. A quiet intake of breath and he backs away, watching from around the corner.

Another breath and he takes that step back out into the hallway. Colin is more comfortable around other children, not so much around adults--he didn't trust them, not in the least. So with a quiet voice, he calls out.]

Hey.

[Yachiru is making a face down at her 'berry when it doesn't do what she thinks it should and finally just huffs and sticks it into her belt. When she hears another voice, though, she glances up and smiles brightly. Oh boy! Another kid! Frustrations forgotten, she's happy to bounce over to Colin.]

Ne, ne, are you lost in here too?

[The other bounces towards him and he is tense at first, taking a small step back but he's not running away--something he would have done if he was approached like that by anyone older. A small furrow of his brow at her question and he nods because yeah, since his arrival he has always been kind of lost.] Yeah--but, I've been here for a bit.

I just don't know much.

[Well, it's a good thing she is physically the most non-threatening being around. Kind of silly to be scared of a 3'7", 35lb. little girl with pink hair, even if she is secretly one heck of a scary little thing.]

Oh. I woke up here a few days ago! I thought Ken-chan was playing hide n' seek, but he's not here, so he's gotta be lost somewhere. He'll come and get me. [She giggles a little.] Ne, ne, where you goin'?

[It's a situational thing with Colin, but she seems friendly enough so he's giving her the benefit of the doubt at the moment. Another kid though, that's good news as he has no met any others aside Damian at this point in his time there. Sure he knows there has to be others but Yachiru is the first he's come face to face with.] I'm not--

[He pauses.] I'm not going anywhere, just got some water. Are you thirsty? You can have it if you want.

Nah, that's okay! [She falls into step beside him, practically skipping, and reaches up to hold his hand, just because Yachiru can. Boundaries? What are those? Boundaries are for people less outgoing than her.] Ne, what's your name? I'm Yachiru!

[The other is suddenly next to him and suddenly very close. This would effect him more if she was an adult but she was actually smaller than he was so he did not feel much of a threat asides her encroaching closeness and the fact she suddenly grabbed his hand. If they were around the same age he would have pulled away but instead he tensed only and since she was younger--the whole cooties and boy's fear of girl-closeness-if-they-were-not-friends-rule didn't apply.

Looking away he took in a sharp breath.] I'm--

[He relaxed.] I'm Colin. It's nice to meet you, Yachiru.

[Sounding out every sound he could, the boy tried his best as the the girls name was not familiar.]

[She's basically everyone's little sister. Yachiru totally doesn't count toward cooties. She kind of swings their arms happily as they walk, practically skipping along beside him. She's completely relaxed, not frightened at all despite the new situation and being lost and being technically alone as far as people she knows goes.]

It's nice to meet you too! Ne, you wanna be friends?

[Well--that's good but he knows the games played during his own strangely progressing childhood and the cootie game was always big and still ways, from what he remembered and what he believed to be true or reality. The other was skipping and it made him smile somewhat--following her along he's namely letting her lead the venture down the halls.] You--

You want to by my friend? You don't even know me.

[Probably for the best, she tends to put herself in the 'leader' position anyway. It comes from being in a position of power over an entire division of grown men and answering only to her 'father' - whom she has wrapped around her little finger. Not that he'll admit it.]

Uh-huh! If we're friends we can play games and color and hang out and it'll be fun!

[Well--Colin was happy to have her have the leading moment as he was quiet and shy and not one to open up to others easily even if they were children. Still, she kept his mind off things and spoke enough for the both of them, kept him thinking about what she was saying instead of who she was. Maybe not all the people here were so bad.] I--

Well, that sounds like fun. [Because really--he knows no other children here and the only one he does is not exactly the most childlike.]

Yeah! It'll be lots of fun, Strawberry-head! [Because his hair reminds her of Ichigo. Therefore, Strawberry-head. But she doesn't mean it as a mean nickname, at least this time.] What games do you like to play? I like lots! Like hopscotch and killing monsters and hide n seek and catch and coloring-

Strawberry-head? [He wrinkled his nose slightly. No one had ever really called him that before and while he was a little confused how it fit because he was not exactly as red as a ginger color could be, he shook his head and found himself easily removed from questioning the nick-name at the conversation that followed.]

Um, I like--board games, soccer, and well--playing pretend, I guess. [A pretend hero--because he was still not sure that he could transform back into his alter ego in which he could really, truly help someone.]

[It doesn't have to make sense. Yachiru's nicknames rarely do. But the fact that it isn't a mean one means she likes you, at least, Colin.]

I like playing pretend too! That's fun! What's soccer?

[And he would be grateful to hear that. Quietly he walks along with her and arches an eyebrow at the question--after a moments pause he fumbles through an explanation.] Um, you kick a ball around and try to score it into the others goal.

It's normally a team sport but you can play it one-on-one if you try.

That sounds like fun! We should try to play it sometime! [Because anything involving kicking is right up Yachiru's alley. And she likes Colin quite a bit so far, so playing with him is something she's going to be trying to do a lot.]
