I secretly love Kai in all his bitchy, cowardly, creepy glory. He is considerably more badass in Zeta than in the original serious though (pimpily-teenage-Kai can't really stand up to Amazon-Action-Adult-Kai).

it's scandelous yes, but each book reads like a TV script D: It's just a narrative of the TV series so that makes sense. I read it for the characters that don't get enough screen time to do them justice (Athrun >__>) and much gay subtext.

Yeah, it's on Amazon, that's where I picked up mine.

The 2004 one is more "proper" but there's an older edition from the 1990s that might be fun to have if you can find it. It uses an old set of name spellings so Char is Sha(aaaaa!) and so forth.
