evil power-hoggers

The government, or at least the MDA, derives pleasure from taunting me by coming up with this most shitted thing called the M18 rating, just when I finally attained the age of 16.

They then proceed to make every movie I want to watch M18.

If that isn't evidence of the vile, spiteful nature of Singapore's evil power-hoggers, I don't know what is.

I know I do. =P
Hmm...M18, huh? That sucks. You told me about the other rating before, but now they came out with a new one? We have G, PG, PG13, and R...and the R is the onyl age restricted one, but you have to be 17. It's pointless though because they don't make the standards as strict so not as many movies are R anymore.

Here we have G, PG, PG-13 (but this one doesn't really matter because anyone can go in anyway), NC-16 (you have to be at least 16 before going in), M18 (at least 18) and R21 (at least 21). And recently they've been making practically everything NC-16 or M18. They've also started rating the DVDs and VCDs so if there's an M18 DVD you have to be at least 18 before you can buy it. Can you imagine, the Dodgeball DVD is M18 in Singapore! ARGHHHH.

It's when you want to buy the rated DVDs that it gets REALLY irritating.

M18 is certainly the MOST SHITTED THING EVER.

but you mustn't forget its close competitor, otherwise known as the R21 rating.

i miss you.:(

Miss you too! :( If only school could start at 9 am I'd be there.

The R21 rating is dumb too. And I met the moment I turn 18 every good movie becomes R21. But seriously I don't see why they need M18 anyway. I mean, how much does one person mature in a year?

rofl Dodgeball? That's a great movie! I'm not sure what the rating was on that one here...probably PG-13 or whatever 'cause I know it couldn't have been R. It's a funny movie. Have your parents buy it!

My mum rented it and I thought it was pretty funny. Dumb, but funny.

I don't think I'll have trouble with M-18. it's like i was buying alcoholic drink the other day and the person asked my maid if she was 18. Gosh, that was stupid. She didn't even bother to ask me. How ironical. I'm not 18 and my maid is certainly older than 18.
