It's a slow day, so here's a little learning for you. What the Conficker virus actually did.

I had been running through sites and downloading updates. I need to further figure it out, but I installed bittorrent or something that installed the stupid ask.com toolbar. I thought the askcw.com.ru were related to the toolbar that I tried several times to uninstall.
But none of the articles I read, till this one, tied the askcw.com.ru problem to conflicker. I don't think I've gotten the pages since downloading Microsoft's patches. But I'm not sure that it was full proof from what this article says.
bah, I'm ready to "trash" that computer anyway.
