Thank you! I can't believe I made it through that ... usually I take medicine for anything!

That's incredible! A labour that long kind of makes me nervous but you are such a tank for letting it all happen naturally. I'm going to keep you in mind when my turn comes.

I'm getting frustrated because I keep having TONS of BH in the evenings, and some are more intense but not-quite-painful, and I'm so impatient for them to start being real ones!

Thank you! Don't worry, yours will most likely not be that long - even the midwife and birth assistant said they almost never see labor and particularly pushing for that long. I think it was a combination of her not being engaged, and being posterior, and having to rotate in the birth canal (I'm glad she did though since it would have been hard to fit her out otherwise!) that made it so long. I'm glad I didn't know it would be so long - I didn't worry about it beforehand because my mother had labors that were 4-6 hours each time! I'm sure you can do it though, especially being at home ... I think I'd have been even more comfortable at home. Next time!

That's exactly what I had leading up to when I went into labor ... that's what I was having Wednesday morning, in fact, and I was totally convinced they'd never become real ones and then all of a sudden they did and it was labor! Which in a way is maybe better than having lots of painful practice ones.

I bet your midwife doesn't see labors and pushing that long because most women don't have the endurance you had. You really persevered! Good job and congratulations!

I'm still amazed you did that. And you're still staying with me if I ever accidentally get pregnant!

You should get on aim if you're still online. I know 2 things I want to get Eva for Christmas.
