No. That is (what you have quoted) pure Goodkind. He's a bit delusional. I can see what he's getting at, that he wants to tell stories and they just happen to be told though a fantasy setting, but I think he's confusing all of fantasy with the D&D spin-off stuff and the world-building aspect of Eddings and Tolkien with... real actual fantasy.
It probably galls him he's often mentioned in the same breath as Robert Jordan.
OTOH, writing 12-14 hours per day is amazing commitment for seven days a week. I gave up reading him by book 4 or something. It got bogged down. I did like the Mord-Sith (although I remember thinking he may have some issues with strong women), and the Debt of Bones was a decent short story, in one of Silverberg's Legends fantasy anthologies. Sadly, the rest of the Sword of Truth didn't keep up the same level of interest for me.
It has been some years, but I also recall wondering if he had a bit of 'survivalist from Montana' philosophy.
