Milesy-Moo ;)

Tracey honestly hadn't even heard of Hipwort Hall until Miles posted it into her journal. She stared at the name, and then spent ten minutes feeling like a massive nerd as she searched her torn-to-hell first year map for the said hall ( Read more... )

Miles sat on the chair under his loft bed, leaning back away from his computer as he read over people's journals. When he heard the knock at his door, he lifted his wand and opened it magically for Tracey to come in.

His lips twitched upward just vaguely when she opened her hand to his touch. Miles continued tracing her fingers.

"We become selfish with each other," he noted. "Or selfless really, always trying to do what's best for the other person and never making ourselves happy."

"What if I said that you make me happy?" Tracey asked him.

"When you're being open and honest, that is," She clarified.

"I'd answer that more often than not I make you beyond depressed."

Miles lifted his eyes to her face.

"And sometimes it's the honesty that's the worst."

"Well then, in response to your very first question, I would want to say yes, but I am scared."

Her eyes turned his shade of pink as she closed her hand and wrapped her fingers around his.

For a split second he was scared as well - completely unsure if the pink her eyes changed when she looked at him like this... whether she had ever shown that color to anyone else. But then the pounding in his heart overtook the fear and he felt more exhilerated than anything.

Miles lost a fight with a grin on his face as he watched her.

"We can..." he shrugged lightly, closing his hand around hers, "We can try things slowly - nothing more serious than it has to be?"

Nothing had been mentioned about dating yet, so she wasn't technically hurting anyone. And technically, she wasn't dating the other person in all of this either.

She was a free woman technically...

Technically, technically...

While she was thinking it over in her brain, she looked up into his eyes, and the grin she found on his face softened the rest of her very troubled heart.

"I like that- nothing too serious too fast."

She smiled at him, the pink of her eyes deepening as she playfully tugged at him to get him to get out of the chair and onto the floor next to her.

"But only if you promise me something."

Miles let himself slide off his chair and onto his knees in front of her.

"Tell me the something and I'll see if I promise to it," he replied, still holding onto her hand.

Tracey took his other hand and brought it to her lips, kissing the back of it affectionately, feeling so full of hope that it was incredibly terrifying.

"If you do for some reason decide you must run away from me again, will you give me a bit of warning so I can at least say good bye?"

She searched his eyes, the fear of him leaving again written all over her face. Tracey brought their hands onto her lap.

"I'll do my best," he promised, taking her hand and kissing it just as she did to his.

Tracey figured that was the best answer she was going to get and she as willing to let that be the one she wanted to hear. She smiled warmly at Miles and leaned toward him somewhat shyly.

"Can I kiss you now?" She asked in such an innocent way that one could have sworn she'd never kissed him before.

He smiled, really smiled, at her question. His response was to simple lean into her, brushing his nose gently against hers before kissing her lips.

"Yes, please," he replied aloud.

Tracey laughed lightly as she brushed her nose gently against his in return, smiled even wider at his response.

She then turned her head slightly to the side and pressed her lips against his softly at first, unsure, but memory took over and soon the kiss deepened and her fingers found their way into his incredible hair.

This was how it was supposed to be with them and Miles couldn't have been more comfortable with her. He braced one of his hands behind her neck as he kissed her in return. He leaned into her, forcing her to lay back on the ground of his dorm.

Tracey loved it when he was gentle yet passionate like this- it was one of her biggest weaknesses. She let him push her back, her fingers sliding up underneath his shirt to run over the muscles of his back that she knew so well.

When he pulled back for air she turned her face to the side to stop him from coming in for another kiss, then looked back up at him.

"I've missed you, Aaron."

She may have turned her face, but that didn't stop Miles from kissing her. He kissed her cheek, her jaw line, just under her ear.

"Annie," he laughed low in his throat, remember her old nickname. "I've missed you as well."
