More old-ish art

I am working on some new pieces and projects, but with some encouragement, I thought I might put up a few older pieces that haven't been seen outside of my house before.

This is one of my first air-brush pieces, done in early 2006, I think.

Is it just me, or does it look like a cicada landed in the upper-right of the canvas while the paint was still wet?

Very nice work, that would be quite interesting as a tattoo, as well.

One of the wings is broken now.
:(
I always get carried away with collages.

Ahh, so there is meant to be a bug there!

As for the damaged wing, I wouldn't worry too much. There's a famous painting of Washington which has the bottom torn off (by Jebidiah Springfield, apparently) and it is still a work of art. :)

Sometimes I have to sit on a piece of artwork for a couple of years to be able to appreciate it.

Possibly it was all that sittin' that damaged the dragonfly?

i'm like that too. I think the newest things i ever post are at least 2 months old these days, with a few odd exceptions.

i dunno, i'm always precious about new stuff... people stealing your ideas and trying to make them 'better' always pisses me off too.

:)

you should do an emo kahlo portrait as a zombie or something :P
