Hahahaha maybe it's just because I recently watched Idiot's Lantern and loled at how bad it was plot-wise, but clearly I underestimated everyone's hatred for Fear Her!

neither of them are like scriptwriting brilliance though. I am just there for the cute.

There aren't many episodes I genuinely dislike-with-no-hint-of-fondness-whatsoever (pretty much only Love and Monsters), and neither Fear Her nor Idiot's Lantern fall under that category.

But they're not really the show at its best, I dont' think, either. I'm just there for the shippiness, and I suspect people who don't ship it must be totally bored by them.

I think Fear Her is marginally (very, very marginally) better both ship-wise and plot-wise. The sheer force of Rose's BAMFery when she hacks up the street with a pickaxe means it is automatically better than Idiot's Lantern..

But I think I like IL better? I'm not sure why. I think I just like Rose's dress, and the Doctor's little "Now there's no power in the universe great enough to stop me" speech makes me go into shipper glee every time. So, all in all, FH is better, but I like IL more.

That's the thing, Idiot's Lantern was fun in my memory, but then when I rewatched it with Frances we were both like OMG THE PLOT, WHAT IS THIS HORROR, and also the Doctor's hair is just so hilarious I don't even, whereas in Fear Her I would hit that so hard, and I DON'T KNOW, IT IS A TOTAL DILEMMA, I STILL HAVE NOT VOTED.

I actually enjoyed the pompadour at first, but it lost its charm as the episode wore on, and at this point, it's just ... no. I usually don't even count the Doctors sexability, because I would always hit that.

I still firmly think that Rose's bad-assery trumps all, so Fear Her is sliiiiightly better.

And well yes, so would I, but Fear Her, omg. IDK I quite like the dark blue shirt. Unf.

I like that in TIL she figures shit out like a year before the Doctor does and the Wire has to eat her face to stop her from kicking its ass posthaste.

Yeah, I think I wouldn't have hated Leonard as much if they had shown a flashback to what Sheldon was doing that was so horrible.

And yeah I agree, they should've shown a flashback or something. I believe that he could be really godawful, but since we didn't see it, they just seem really mean, and Leonard seems entirely unremorseful considering he like... y'know.. shattered Sheldon's dreams and ruined his career. LIRL

BUT I can't icon any picture of the Doctor in good conscience.
