Torchwood on Friday! It is weird to be excited by Torchwood but so it goes. I've been popcorngiffing over all the wank, too. Torchwood wank is some of my favourite wank. 42 I do not care what anyone says, this episode is entirely about Ten being terrified and in pain becuase OMG HOTTTTTTTT. I will forgive it any amount of other silliness becuase it makes me tingle in my no-no place. Also, I really like Martha's little Adam whose name I forget but who is actually really nice and they bond in the capsule and awwww.

Blink I will now never forgive Blink for introducing the phrase "timey-wimey" and clearing the path for all of its irritating variants. Also, dear fandom, please be noting, "timey-wimey" does not have an 'h' in it anywhere. I don't know why that annoys me so much, but it does. And Blink is now another victim of my post-S5/6 Moffat Trope Overload. Yes that closed time loop was really interesting the first time! Yeah, Blink suffers from Moffat overdose in retrospect. I can't argue against it being an intro episode because it is the episode that worked on me, but I think something like "End of the World" is a more accurate representation of how the show works and it sticks in my head as the first episode I saw where I went "ohhhh I get it ( ... )

I found everyone in Torchwood to be sort of equally awful, and it kind of canceled the awfulness out and just made them all equally... idk, uninteresting?

BUT MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY, HAVE YOU FINISHED GAME OF THRONES YET?

lol I kind of did too, though I really liked Tosh by the end of s2 and I had no real beef with Ianto, most of my actual rage was reserved for Gwen, Owen and Jack. Gwen punches Jack in the finale of s1 though and I thought it was a glorious moment, I wish I had a gif. It was like I had waited for so long for someone to punch Jack in the face.

LOL no I have not, I got home kind of late last night.

lol Utopia is definitely not one of my favourites but I enjoyed it a bit more this time, probably because I didn't spend it all in confusion. WHO IS JACK WHAT IS GOING ON WHYI S HE IMMORTAL WHAT IS HAPPENING WHY DID THEY MAKE A NEW TIME LORD ANDCALL HIM 'THE MASTER' THAT IS SUCH A LAME NAME

Blink was THE very first episode I saw! And I liked it, enough to go check out the rest of the show (well, and also because I was like "the guy in the TV is really hot" lol). But I think it is less interesting on rewatches, for me anyawy, because the Angels aren't scary anymore (and after season 5 I find them even less scary). I forget if you've seen season 5 or not? But if you like timelines all fitting together like that you might like Moffat Who a lot more than I do, lol. I think it's neat used sparingly, but Moffat uses it waaaaaaaaay too much for me. It got old really fast IMO.

Yeah, I find Utopia pretty boring as well tbh.

I haven't seen much of fandom's recent wankery about Torchwood (other than a few comments on ONTD still whining about Ianto's death), BUT I ASSUME IT IS VERY AMUSING.

I had a dollar for every time someone used the word "Gwenwood" without any awareness that Gwen was always the main character, I would have many dollars.

THIS PISSES ME OFF. I got into a conversation about Torchwood with someone once and that person complained about how Gwen got so many more episodes that were about her than Ianto, Owen or Torsh and I was like "You do understand the concept of having a female lead, right?".

Most of all I cannot and will not get over the dumb fucking security system oh my god it is so stupid

Human Nature/Family of Blood is just so enjoyable for me and part of that is seeing David Tennant get to show off his acting chops. And I love the setting in a military school right before WW1 and what all of it says about the time period and attitudes towards war and a;lskdjfl;asdkjfa I LOVE THOSE EPISODES.And Martha is fab in them too.yes IA with all of this.
