I kindasortamaybe like Classic Who, but I pretty much handwaved most of One and Two's eras as being part of the 60s... (Really, how can I react differently when a girl's screams legitimately fought off evil seaweed... no seriously, watch my waving hand before I accidentally hit you in the face.)
I have tried with Classic Who and I still have my goal to finish seeing all of the Doctors in action -- I'm just missing Six and Seven -- but yeahhh I can't really get around the oldschool style of... everything. Writing, acting, pacing, everything.
It really is. I'm now wishing Harriet Jones called them on this.
I might be at the end of Troughton's run... there's only 29 episodes left before I move onto Three (and colour episodes! No missing episodes!!!!). The acting can be pretty bad at timand God, the pacing is pretty bad, but the costumes and set designs are funny (if unintentionally so). Whatever you do, do not watch any Peri episodes, just do not. In fact it's like the totally opposite of Blink, break eye contact right away.
Community college degrees are supposed to be what... 3 years? 2? Idk because we don't really haev that system but I think that's what someone on ONTD told me once. Anyway, yeah, I mean, there are only so many tropes you can exploit before it begins to get repetitive, but I think it's got another season or so in it. lol, I just read an article about what makes shows age poorly/age well so I guess I was thinking about it when I wrote the bit about Community. IDK, I guess it will depend. A lot of the humour is topical so I don't think that will translate well in the long-term

Community college degrees (Associate's Degrees) can be done in 2 years, though most people take 3 (or sometimes more) since a lot of people who go to community colleges are also working. But in my experience, community colleges also don't offer bachelor's degrees... which is why Jeff is going to one- to replace his Bachelor's. So... I think we're all suspending disbelief and believing that community college offer 4 year Bachelor's Degrees.
You should DEFINITELY sit down and rewatch AD in order. It makes it easier to spot running gags.
Ugh. JD/Elliot. The thing is, I LIKE JD, but the way he was when it came to Elliot. UGH. And I just, in general, really hate "will they or won't they" romances, especially when it concerns a pairing that is set up as endgame from pretty early on in the show.
I am unsurprised by your list of tv shows. Once I finish Arrested Development, I will have seen ALL OF THEM except for the Simpsons, of which I have seen random episodes of.
I am legitimately impressed you remember that much from Torchwood. To me, it's a haze of them all being incompetent, Gwen being a badass, Martha being in the best eps, Owen being a giant douche, Jack failing, Ianto being boring, and Tosh being awesome.
