I have my Witchcraft midterm tomorrow. I wish it was on Harry Potter because I would ace that shit. In first year we had a lecture on Harry Potter and I took absolutely no notes because it was no new information, lirl. Good times.

I am up to Day 15 - Your Favourite Who-Related Tumblr on the 30 Day Doctor Who Meme, but I don't use Tumblr. ( Here's a list of the other days. )

Yeah I mean, really all we see her learn about Rose pre-Utopia is just... that her name was Rose, and that she went to New Earth that one time. I don't think she would've even known her full name.

I should write more Martha in general. I have written very little Martha. Poor Martha.

This is nice! I like fics that deal tactfully with the Martha "vs." Rose thing, and this certainly does :-)

Yeah it can be sort of tricky to write, because you don't want to demonize either of them. Or I don't, anyway. And while Martha's envy is very understandable I do like Rose too.

I really love how you ended this. With her getting out. Like, the idea that Martha's not only beyond her jealousy, but that she's really kind of moved past that life.

Thanks! I really do think Martha would be over it by the end of s4, and I think she would be aware enough to be grateful for that and to be aware that loving the Doctor is not something that usually ends well.

Martha fic! I think you did a great job of walking the line between Martha and Rose without making villains out of either of them, which is pretty difficult. And I like the way you ended it, with Martha not being envious.

Martha fic indeed! I never write Martha, but I'm not sure why because Martha is AWESOME and I love her.

It is sort of hard. I've tried to do it a few times before and I'm always worried one of them will come out looking badly when that is not my intent at all. I always get very irritated when Martha is painted as nothing but jealous.

It's completely understandable that Martha would be at least a bit resentful of Rose, and I love how the mention that she has blonde hair makes Martha think of Annalise, someone she doesn't like much but has to put up with. That comparison never even occurred to me before. I wish Martha and Rose had had a chance to chat one-on-one onscreen during the finale, it would have been interesting to see them get to know each other a little better. Nicely written!

I so wanted to see Martha and Rose chat onscreen too. D: Before JE aired I thought we would get an Epic Scene of Awesome where Martha, Rose and Donna all had to work together. I liked JE, but I am still sad this never happened.
