I've been working my way through your NCIS fics, and I gotta say...

Wonderful!

You have a lovely style, capture the characters so well, and I thoroughly enjoy your Gibbs and Tony. Well done. :)

*blushes* thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoy reading what I write :)

Also, I saw your search request on ncisficfind that generated my story, The Last Word. You may very well have read it on FF.net, I also have an account there, because it's where I originally started posting my Bones fic. NCIS has a larger presence on LJ, so I switched (though continue to cross-post my NCIS fic).

That would explain it. :) I don't read much gen, but that story (The Last Word) really stuck with me. As will this one, I suspect. Tony has depths (of compassion, sincerity, strength, and rage) that few suspect. At least, that's the impression I got from the show. Haven't watched it in ages, but still ... that's how it seemed.

He reminds me of two others characters I love. Xander Harris from BtVS and Ezra Standish from The Magnificent Seven. Oh, not that they're very similar in mannerisms or actions, but in that they were frequently judged by their surface, with little or no thought given to their depths.

In fact, my MPD muse has recently jammed a plot bunny at me, and insisted I write a crossover featuring those three. Uh-huh, like that's gonna be easy. Snicker.

At any rate ... I look forward to more Gibbs/DiNozzo or just DiNozzo from you. :)

They really do have their own language, distinct lines not to be crossed, etc. I love this. Thanks.

It's true! I love watching them communicate; no words necessary.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Ahhh, it's always lovely to find a story that shows that a) Tony will put Gibbs in his place when necessary, and b) Gibbs will let him (because he understands the "when necessary" part of that).

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the story. I've, personally, always felt that Tony can and will stand up to Gibbs when he thinks it's necessary. And that Gibbs will let him, as you've pointed out.
