I just rented the made for tv movie of the book "Speak." It was a bit too intense for me, but it is a beautiful movie.

No worries, it's on-topic and non-triggering. You're all good ;)

(I second the "Stuart Saves his Family" one... loved that movie!) Other films I can think of relating to survivors/recovery are: "Sleeping with the enemy" (though I'm not a fan of the violence aspect), The Hours (more focused on depression recovery, though some parts of the movie are SO tough to get through).

In a really weird way, "Nell" is a recovery movie - about the daughter of a survivor reintegrating into society.

Oddly enough, I can think of more "prsecuting rapists" movies than recovery-focused movies.

Prince of Tides deals with the aftermath of rape, and I think the main character effects a recovery, of sorts, if I remember correctly. It was long time ago when I saw it though, so I may be mistaken.
