um, i need a new question of the day.
oh, and apparently the answer to the question of wednesday, george washington supposedly had an irish/scottishy accent. dont ask, blake had proof.
question of sunday::
does "can i ask you a question?" actually count as the question? (no you dont have to have internet proof, unless you want to...)

In saying "Can I ask you a question?" you have asked if it would be alright to ask a question of a person, in which case you should have just asked without asking because you already asked a question.
Also, if you were to base this off the "Can I go to the bathroom/May I go to the bathroom?" you would be asking the person if it is physically possible for you to ask them a question, in which the response would be yes because you just succeeded in asking a question.
However, this statement is often used as a way of asking about something that may be a touchy subject, in which case it would be an introduction to the question in the form of a question. In this case, it is still a question, but not exactly the question.
Do you agree?

i agree with that, because it reall is just an introduction into a touchy or personal subject. its just being respectful. i dont think its really a question at all.
in the end though, it can be seen as the "can/may" thing. that was quite brilliant actually lol. so i guess it goes both ways
