Ah I'm so glad you think so because while I was writing this I thought it was ludicrous and pseudo-intellectual. Which it very well may still be, but it's certainly nice to hear that you enjoyed it!
The rain’s seeped in around his neck and when he loosens his tie it almost squeaks. It’s the sort of sound a man would be a little embarrassed about. “Sorry, sweetheart, I got caught in the rain,” he imagines his half-human self saying to Rose after a long day of paper work and public transport and forgotten umbrellas. And she would smile and take his coat and kiss him.
I'm still in denial about Donna, kthanks. It's all cool, they're having mad fun times on the TARDIS.
And dude thanks for pointing out that paragraph. I'm trying to convince one of my friends to write epic Rose/not-quite-Doctor-in-a-blue-suit fic with me, so hopefully there'll be more along these lines coming soon!
And we're having mad fun times writing it. But it's gotten completely out of hand and sort of EPIC and everything so it likely won't be appearing on the internets for a bit. Hopefully by then the post-eps will have died down? Although it doesn't seem like they ever will... which is a good thing!
Er, that was a lot of pointless rambling. The important thing was the PIE.
oh that was fantastic, you made me tear up a little. But I especially enjoyed the part about Rose and the humanDoctor making a folk band... because its hilarious and probably true.
It was getting too depressing for me so I had to throw in a little twee folk. You just know Rose's younger brother plays a mean mandolin and they book sold-out concerts in the living room.

(I love the hopeful, dogged tone you strike at the end of this. Failed to mention, what with the bawling.)
