hi there.

i am always struggling to get my tables perfect and i cant find any guidelines on when to center the data, align to the left, align to the right etc.

for example, my job is working with reintroduced macaws, i want to make a table that has 4 colomns:

band number/sex/release group number/pairs with

i have aligned band number to the left, because its what all the other columns are giving data about, but what do i do with the others?

when do you center the data? when its a number (although when its a categroy number like release group then not?) etc...

i am really perfectionistic and i am always struggling with this. why didnt they give us a table making class during the studies, its so elementrary...

if anyone knows guidelines or where i an find them. ok thanks :)
