Since it doesn't look like they're going to air my segment. We made flyers and have been printing and posting them everywhere. And I can't believe how great the response has been!

I would love to thank everyone so very, very much. And keep spredding the word!

hey sweetie I saw you from the beaglepix community.
Anyways I've been browsing around your journal & stuff.
I gather you had some segment to air on the local news about this and they wont air it? CRAZY! I don't know about where you live but I recall where I live the following happened a while back. There was some little kid who was in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant, so they aired this segment on the news and a hella lot of people came out to be tested to see if they were a match. ah never underestimate the power of tv. anyways my point is there's gotta be something we can do, like write the station and be like "air the segment dammit" only nicer. hehe or if not is there another station in the area? there must be something. but yeah if you have like an addy I could email or write or something and we can get other people to do that too. just an idea! best of luck sweetie! *hugs* :)

Are you from SoFla? anonymous February 21 2004, 19:08:04 UTC
I don't know you, but I was reading your LJ and wondering what station you sent your story to. If you live in SoFLa you can find a different station to work with, because I know there are several options, and this one doesn't seem to be helping you at all. When I was reading your journal, it was upsetting - especially to see the comments like "I would help you, but..." Do you find it frustrating at all or is it just one of those things you've become accustomed to? I don't know much about cystic fibrosis, except that it can be fatal. So love, and prayers, and happy thoughts to you. I sincerely hope everything works out for you and that you get that new set of lungs!!!
Sincerely,
Angelina

It wasn't sent to a station. What happened was, I am in the hospital, and it was set up where, Jay Feidler and a couple other football players from other teams came to the hospital with the press to film and help promote me getting donors.

So they actually came out to the hospital, channel 7 and 10, the sun-setinal, the miami herald, and a couple of other press from Tampa Bay and New England. Because thats where the other players were from. They asked me questions, filmed me, my doctors, the players, my mother... and everything, and told us they'd air it! But they still haven't. My mom's going to call up on Monday and see what's going on.

And my mom called channel 4's Dr. Sean a couple of weeks ago, he said he'd love to do my story during sweeps week, and never called back. Bastard. LOL.

I've become accoustomed to it, unfortunetly.
