Ray's fairly vibrating with excitement himself as he ducks through the door of the supply cupboard. It's one thing to talk to the people out of the stories you know, and quite another to see those stories in action- or at least in three dimensions, since the TARDIS isn't going anywhere at the moment. "Oh, wow," he half-whispers as he takes in the place. "I knew these things were supposed to be a lot more impressive inside than out, but you never really understand what that means until you actually see it. Very nice, Romana..."

She beams proudly. Not surprised by his reaction but still. It's a good reaction.

"Thanks. I'm rather proud of it myself. It's a type-70. Very new model."

Romana wipes a little bit of dust off of one of the controls. Bugger, where'd that come from?

"I can show you around. Well, the main rooms."

She spread her arms to indicate the panels, dials and buttons. "This is obviously the control room."

She puts her hands down. "But there's living quarters and a large kitchen and some storage space. I wouldn't suggest wandering too far initially. It can be tricky."

"Well, considering that I've never seen any model of TARDIS from this close, I'd be impressed no matter what model it was," Ray says. "But this one is seriously cool... is it hard to learn to operate one of these things? Not that I'm planning on trying it all by myself any time soon, but I like to know what machinery does, if you know what I'm saying."

He nods. "Oh, no problem. I definitely don't want to get lost in a space this big."

"Well, if nothing else, I can assure you this is far superior to type 30-50. Since the type-60, mostly it's just been minor adjustments."

She pats the counsole and shakes her head at the type-30 manual.

"Well, let's see..." She opens up some compartments and rummages around before pulling out a very thick book. "Here. This is the manual for my TARDIS. You're welcome to read it."

She chuckles. "I suppose I could give you a ball of yarn and you could tie it to things as you went exploring so you can find your way back but I've lost several assistants that way."

Is she kidding? Probably.
