Hey there, I came across you because of Maple Ridge... I'm just currently applying to emigrate to Canada and have heard many good things about the place. Anyhow, I'd love to hear your views, and I figured that since you just ate my brain you kind of owe me something in return... ;-)

Maple Ridge is Beautiful, mountains, rivers, trees...it's simply stunning. I love it here, just because it's so country. I'll probably never leave. There isn't much to do here, but it's growing. There are things when you know where to find them. People are great. I dunno it's just awesome. Some people wouldn't think so,. but you kind of just have to experience it to know.

My only two real concerns I suppose are being able to find a good job or being able to start up a business there, and house prices - it may take a few years before I can emigrate and so if prices keep going up the way they have been doing...

Rent here is cheep. very affordable. Houses are very low here. it's veru suburban here so the prices don't see much change. and the further out you go the cheaper. I'm looking to buy a house out here by the end of the year.

as for a jb, well you might be able to start your own business but as for employement you will have to go into town for sure. I work in Vancouver. Im about to get a job in mission at the prison so that will be nicer but there isn't much work out here depending on what you want to do.
