What are some good things to bring to the hospital? I know I should have done this a long ass time ago considering my due date is next Thursday but I've just been too busy to even think about it

A couple of big things are a boppy, extra pillows, and chapstick. As far as the pads and underwear go, I used the hospitals, you use A LOT. And your underwear WILL get stained with blood. So I just used the disposable kind they gave me, they weren't that bad. And the pads they had were awesome because they were incredibly huge and you bleed a lot after delivery. And, you're paying for it, so use whatever you can that they give you.
Alright thanks! :) My mom told me the same thing. She was like whenever they bring the little cart in put some in your bag to take home lol. My mom is crazy!
I would recommend using the hospitals pads I used A LOT I went through about 3 bags and they are some thick pads.. I had really heavy bleeding and I bled through onto towels also.. when my bleeding stopped soaking through i finally wore my own gown. I also used their underwear its like a mesh type underwear kinda cool actually.. I took one home haha..
people say bring chapstick, I did not need it though.. you don't really need much.. you can bring your own soap if you want you will want to wash.. you wont get much sleep with nurses checking on you and baby every 2-3 hours and taking baby for shots and check ups. so bring a book or your laptop something to entertain you. make sure to bring a going home outfit for you and baby.. I wore sweat pants home with a nice shirt I didn't want any pressure on me. toothbrush & toothpaste and a hairbursh.. and honestly thats really all you need.. I didnt use any of the stuff I brought I was so exhausted and all my attention was on the baby..
The hospital gives you a ton or underwear and pads. I saved all my pads and underwear for home and used the hospitals. You can take home as many as you want. Take everything and do not feel guilty. No body can prepare you for the massacre that is lochia and just when you run out of pads at home is going to be the moment that you are home alone with a newborn and really can't leave the house. Do not forget your own shampoo/cond/body wash. You won't need any towels or wash cloths. Most importantly DO NOT forget flip flops for the shower. Ew ew ew ew. Also, if the nurses are doing their job, they won't give your labor partner any pain reliever if they have a head ache or something, so bring some for whomever is coming with you.

Jeez, you seriously go through that many pads?! lol
Also I never shower without my flip flops on if I'm somewhere I guess considered *public* like hotels and stuff.
