Mmm. "Staccato song" and "concrete symphony", "skyscrapers dreaming" and "houses never knew the sky"; your city imagery is gorgeous, Banui. I love this. ♥

As I am writing this, the world outside is dark and unknown. Until a minute or so ago it was raining, in that unrepentant, exuberent way that water has sometimes, and through which it reminds us that it is older and far wiser than any of us, and younger, too. A second ago, it began again, faintly and tentatively, pattering on the rooftop and trickling down the windows softly, very softly, like a lonely friend.

This poem is beautiful.

Thank you.

Love, the way you capture Boston is phenomenally beautiful. Your imagery, particularly in ii is stunning and evocotive. As for iii... we must meet someday, in a city, and get utterly and completely lost in the tangled chaos of city streets and mass transportation. And after we have exhausted ourselves wandering, we can tilt back our heads and rediscover the sky. Any chance you're game? ♥

very pretty. I'm not a city girl...at all...but I can appreciate it. Very pretty.
