I think that every woman, well, every person really....but since I am not male, I don't feel comfortable saying that defintely. I think that every woman should have standards for relationships. She should have a clear idea about the kind of person she wants to be with, and she should have standards about the kind of person she defintely does not

I think I have only three basic standards...
1.) I want my man to be solidier If I wanted a cute little thing Id date one of my girlfriends
2.) He has to be willing to commuincate. While sex is good it is not the most important thing
3.) Honesty is a must.

Yeah, those are good. I think it's great to have standards for how you expect to be treated. That way you can look at a guy and say "Is he meeting my standards? Nope. Bye Bye!"

Simple as that. It helps keep the murkiness out of relationships.

I think this is very good to think about before entering any type of relationship. I know I raised my expectations a lot after my ex.

Yeah, it is very good to think about. People will treat you how you treat yourself. If you have standards for how you expect to be treated and stick strictly to them, you're going to only allow good people (by your standards) in your life.

Well, if I were into that scene I would say these would be my standards. Literate, confident, ambitious, (on other words not someone content to run a projector at the local art house all his life), thoughful, kind, generous, and moderately healthy.

LOL! Relationships aren't really a scene. You have relationships too, just not romantic ones. These can sort apply to anything, friends or lovers. It's just a standard of how you expect to be treated.

LOL, those are kind of qualities that you prefer, but really standards for you. But, those are good ones. Though I hope by having standards I'll eliminate people who aren't literate, confident, thoughtful, kind and generous by default.

Well, I suppose I am picky. My standards are:

1.I prefer them not to smoke
See, this one is very difficult because sadly, almost every girl I tend to be interested in, smokes!!! :(

2.They not be obscenely fat
Yeah, I know I get so much heat for always saying this, but I'm not the only guy who feels this way. And I say, 'obscenely' fat, because if you're a bit chunky, fine. As long as you have a womanly shape...

3.They can't be too prude
I am far too kinky to be with a prude chick. LOL

4.They're mature and don't play games
I guess this one covers a lot of areas. (Honesty, Decency)

I'm at the point where I could compromise the smoking part cause it's virtually impossible to meet girls that don't smoke!!! :(

Those are great standards! Man, there are plenty of girls who don't smoke! It's disgusting, you don't wanna kiss someone who smokes. Hey man, if you really don't want a girl that smokes...if he really bothers you, don't settle. You haven't settled thus far, don't start now.
