i met this girl in a chatroom last night, and she said, you remind me of the singer for Dresden Dolls. i say, who? and she says, You'll love them, i just know it.
usually i HATE it when people tell me that. usually that's stupid-ese for "i don't know anything about you, but listen to this crap music that i dig, okay?"
so this gal sends me a few of their songs, and i tell her "eh, i'll get around to it tomorrow, when my baby's awake and i can listen", thinking, great. another boring band to listen to. (i'm sort of disenchanted with "music" currently. nothing current really moves me...)
until now.
all i had to hear was the first three bars of "Girl Anachronism" to know that this was my new favorite band.
so i go to their webpage, and i think IMMEDIATELY, i bet this is where Spencer found the image that i've been obsessively day dreaming about for the last week and 1/2.
and yeah. oh my god.
i haven't been this excited about music in, like, years.
