Polaris, part two

When you're visiting another city, you don't get to go home and cook yourself some supper, and eating out every day gets expensive. We figured, to save time and money, we'd limit ourselves to two meals per day. We had breakfast delivered to our room first thing in the morning, which we ate as we got ready for the day, and then stopped and caught ( Read more... )

Ok, do conventions always take place at Doubletree hotels? That was the hotel that the con I went to was at. And I'm sure I've heard of a few others, too. Weird.

So, did people want to take pictures of you two in costume for the second time?

Also, you're the best loud-mouthed redhead, ever.

Um, Keycon wasn't at a Doubletree, but I'm not sure if we have one here. (A quick google search tells me we do, but it's just a little one. Well, I guess that answers that.)

We did have plenty of people taking pictures on Saturday. Which... I dunno, we didn't put much time or thought into them, unlike a lot of the other costumes, so I kind of felt bad. <.

(Ok, being that I'm a new reader to your journal I was very floored to see that you were in a room with Tanya Huff. And Jim Butcher.)

A friend of mine went as Alice a couple of Halloweens ago (Well, ok, she technically went as Evil Alice or ....Malice in Wonderland. Made an Alice costume and then ripped it up and put fake blood on it.) and she found some really awesome thigh-high stockings at Hot Topic, which we have in the mall here. They were white with the card suits repeated in a line up the side.

Haha, you weren't around when I went to Keycon, were you? This is my second convention, and my second one with Tanya. Because I'm a creepy stalker. At this point, actually, I've kind of been adopted, I think because she figures if she can't get rid of me, she might as well just go with it. XD

We considered the Malice route, but with two small children, figured it was safer to just go as regular Alice and Hatter. Also, it was kind of a tribute to curiousinsane, because I seriously dig their interpretation of grownup Alice and Hatter.

I'm constantly annoyed that we don't have a Hot Topic here. That store seems like it pretty much wins at everything.

I keep referring to myself as the redhead who doesn't shut up. Perhaps I should specify the fake redhead who doesn't shut up. ;-)

(Pardon the crashing of your LJ...just wandering around in search of con reports. Always curious what other people saw that I missed!)

Hee! We could start a club. Then again, meetings for redheads who won't shut up might get a little chaotic, since none of us would be able to keep quiet long enough to actually call it a meeting.

Because I'm nosy as well as loudmouthed, I checked out your Polaris report, too. Looks like you caught a whole bunch of stuff I missed!
