Beaches?

So I promised the kids that we would go to the beach this weekend. Yep, that is right, the beach. I havn't gone to a beach in years and never one around this area.. so I need to know... what are the best beaches in this area. I'm in downtown baltimore and do mind driving about 2.5 hours to get to one but I'd like it be nice and not too much like a
