The relocation people finally got ahold of us. We're going on a scouting mission to Seattle the 27th - 30th. That'll be my first look at the city ever. Hope it's nice

Getting rid of all our useless accumulated crap is probably the part we're most excited about in our (much shorter distance than yours) move to Lansing. Because it's only an hour and a half we're doing it ourselves, but we're deliberately taking an entire month and only moving the things that we know we absolutely have the space for in the new house, even with the new one being much larger. I'd say easily a third to half of our things are totally unnecessary. We too look forward to a simplified living space.

I had mad plans to purge things when we moved here from Lansing but we ran out of time to go through it all so sadly lots of boxes of crap just got tossed on the truck.

Off the top of my head the only black thing we're parting with (there's only 3 things) is the futon which I'm sure we can make you a good deal on if you're so inclined. The entertainment center/CD shelves are going w/ us. I have Amy's old desk you could paint black? =)

Laurie's big dresser also needs to go - it looks great still but needs some repair on the drawer tracks. Available at the low low price of free.

We'll have to grab dinner while you're in town. I'm actually leaving that Friday for a wedding in Michigan, so I sadly can't play the part of tourist guide. :(

Sounds good. We'll be back in a couple weeks after we leave anyways and then we'll have all the time in the world to bug you for a tour.
