That was gorgeous. Cold and cruel and gorgeous. The descriptions were lovely, the reoccuring themes were so poignant (particularly the reutn to an answer going unsaid), and the dialogue and characterization was spot-on. The meaning behind the title was heartbreaking, too. I loved this bit, especially, in how it simoltaniously helped and did nothing for Ciel: “Forgive me, my Lord, but I must point out that you are incorrect, for you see, we demons can have many souls, depending on how well we feed. Were you not aware of this?”

I hated being so mean to Ciel, I really did, but when this idea came to me, I could not let it go. I'm so happy that you noticed the repetition of an answer unsaid and liked it--I wasn't sure if readers would consider it "too much" or if it would go unnoticed entirely. <333
