It's that time again!

Everyone's heard about this Amy Blankenship deal, yes? Good. Let's discuss.

Apparently this woman is trying to publish mediocre Inuyasha fan fiction having only changed the names, so people are upset. Meanwhile, everyone over at inuanonymous are obviously above this whole matter while simultaneously taking shots at numisma for no apparent reason. Oh, and to top ( Read more... )

That's one of the big problems I have with inuanonymous. They always try to create an issue out of something so they can take shots at Numi and Del.
As for Amy, I feel the same way you do about her. I'm kinda apathetic to her, even though I've enjoyed her writing in the past. The Nefra rant and the constant spam on her books is the only thing that really bothers me about it.
If she doesn't think she'll get in trouble by this, then so be it.

I just try to avoid wank communities as much as possible. It always degenerates into "which one of us can be the biggest psuedo-intellectual narcissist?" Not my style.

Yeah, that Nefra rant really got under my skin. It's like the stereotypical bitchings of an IQ deficient fangirl. I especially did not appreciate how apparently everyone who doesn't agree with her works at McDonalds. Pardon me, missy, but I work at CVS.

I'm trying to be apathetic, but deep down a little part of me is totally cheering for VIZ to sue her arse.

I try to be apathetic too, but I guess it didn't work since I got BANNED for bashing at the AmyLove Group.

And I'm a product designer. Doesn't mean my adverse opinions automatically label me as a loser. And HELLO, RESPECT for those in the customer service business. I worked as a waitress for 4 years and a gas station clerk for 5. That's just rude to knock on peoples jobs.

I think Amy's bio pretty much sums things up. I still can't read it without laughing hysterically. But apparently she knows she is not perfect. I beg to differ the bio proves otherwise.

As for my own personal opinion, bashers, elitists, and fangirls aside, I don't pity Amy at all. I can't respect a human being that can't acknowledge their own faults, or want to fix them.

Amen, sister! Feel free to kick me if I ever get an oversized inflated ego to match or rival Ms. Blankenship.

1. I love your icon. The Incredibles rox0rz my sox0rz.
2. Unfortunately, instead of laughing, I find that whenever I read that bio I lose faith in humanity.
3. [makes a mental note to kick you in dire situations].
4. I'm glad you agree with me. When it comes down to it, I think this whole situation is more or less a bunch of narcissists bitching at each other.
5. I love you.
6. The end.

^^ Yes I love the Incredibles too. I've had a great laugh at Ms. Amy's expense. Her bio is pure comediac gold. She is like ripe for parody and satire.

Honestly the only thing about what she is doing that bothers me is the possibility that if she gets in trouble, she could shine an unfavorable light on the rest of us fanfiction writers. Otherwise I could care less what she does with her stories. That's probably why I have just been laughing at her bio. I have to find the humor in this. It's just so ridiculous.

I love you too. *hugs*

I have a similar post on my livejournal, but I completely agree with most of what you say. To put in its simplest form, I don't see what the big deal is. I just think it's a bit disappointing on Amy's part, that's all. People really are just using this topic to get all their slam-fests done, and I find that really horrid and a complete waste of time.

Yeah, I really don't think it's cool that everyone's like "Hey, I smell wank, and it's perfect weather for soul crushing." But then again at the heart of the matter, her plight is still pretty pathetic. I mean, c'mon, trying to make it into an anime series?.

Okay, I admit I giggled and just plain fell out of my chair at that part. Somebody must be really feeding her ego, A LOT. I mean, lol *giggles.* Okay, really I'll stop. XDD!!

But yeah, on her part, I feel that everyone's just taking it to a notch too cruel. However, against her part, I feel that she's letting it out of control and failing to realize her own mistakes and short-comings as a writer. Maybe she does realize them, but the fans don't. I don't hear much about what AMY has to say, but I hear a lot about what her fans has to say.

Yeah, like this whole time everyone's said something except for Amy. I'm starting to wonder if she's even real or not XD. But then again I don't think anything this twisted could come from someone's imagination.
