I know what you mean about emo kids - although I guess it's easier for me to igmore them as I'm probably the same age as some of their mums (well the ones that had their kids at 16/17) so they tend to not pay much attention to me.
Mind you, what you're saying about clones etc.....call me old fashioned, but I feel the same way about the goth/industrial 'scene' these days...being a bit of an old skooler myself, the younger crowd all seem to have the same kind of cyber 'uniform' and are more interested in the fashion than the music. It's probably not like that all over the country, but I definitely notice it at Infest and there are probably pockets of scenesters all over London. I have even got dirty looks for 16/17 year olds at Infest for not looking right...ha ha ha...even though I've been around the alternative scene since they were born. Shocking!
Yup...I vaguely remember something to that effect. I don't mind how I look at all....people like that make me sneer and mock rather than feel I shouldn't be there.
See I've not noticed that around the Leeds/Newcastle area but now you mention it there are few sneery looks given to me at infest, nowhere near the downright looks of disgust the emos give me tho! lol
hehehe, we call them emo-chav. just swap the burberry and tracksuit bottoms for atticus and skintight jeans... the attitude remains the same.
what REALLY f****s me off is that they sneer at me for making an effort when i go out (god forbid i should spend a few minutes drawing my eyebrows on!) ... but they spend just as long making it look like they made no effort!!!
Haha, I know! I didnt even make much effort on saturday, just a cyberdog tribal top n complimenting skirt but they honestly looked at me like I must be on crack for wanting to dress up slightly n not like them!
