How, exactly, do you track an angel who's disappeared?

I mean, it's not like I can pick up the phone and get the Phantom Stranger on the speed dial. He shows up when there's a need. Well, a friend of mine's gone and vanished. I'd say that qualifies as need, wouldn't you?
