I ended up rewriting this a dozen different ways. ::grumble::

Heh. We're Buffy veterans. Everything can be explained by daddy issues.

I'd also be willing to bet that some of House's attraction to Cameron might be because she reminds him of his mommy.

I know this is very belated, but this is an amazing story, and this is now the third time I'm re-reading it. It's just very well sculptured, with a good balance of lyrical / poetic vs. narrative. And Buffy fic too? Can't get any better than that. *g*

Thank you! This was sort of an experiment for me to see if I could attempt pr0n without giggling like a twelve year old. Actually, House, in general, is new for me; I'm a total action geek, so most of my stuff up until recently have been about making things go 'splodey (hence the Buffy, heh). Two people having conversations and such without one of them being decapitated? Shiny!

Fire bad. Tree pretty. ;) It's late (2.37am here) wah. Anyway, no it's great pr0n. Seriously, I always get a little blush when I say it, but it turned me on - and trashy pr0n just doesn't do that.

The little touch you add towards the end, when she digs her toes into his muscle/nerve is just something I LOVE. It's so simple and gutsy. As someone who both has her fair share of mental disorders, AND a limp at the moment (and a cane!) because of a messy knee reconstruction... I was having way too much by way of 'relating to the characters.'

House is a good fandom for you, though I find writing stuff like that gives me higher burn-out, which is why I stopped writing fanfic for a little while. Plus I've never been able to finish a pr0n. Don't know why, because I've written original character sex scenes and not batted an eyelid.

Oh look, I wrote yet another comment essay.
